Do I need to sign up for an account?
At this time, there is no need to sign up for an account to use most of the features of the site. Currently, you must be a registered user to add comments to pages and to create posts in the forums. As we add more features to the site (guest bunny webcams are high on the list!), there will be more compelling reasons to sign up for accounts.
Are you guys in the business of bunnysitting? Are you making money at this?
No, all of the proceeds from bunnysitting services go to The Rabbit Haven, a 501(c)3 nonprofit educational foundation. We found that bunnysitting is an ideal way for us to support this organization: we provide a great service to our clients, and the donations help provide medical care for bunnies and house rabbit education to the public in our community.
How do I order the products on your site?
Want to give your bunnies a treat after you've been away? Send us an email with the names and quantities of the toys you would like and we will have them ready for you when you when you pick the bunnies up. We keep a limited stock on hand, so the earlier you can let us know, the better.
Why are there advertisements on your site?
The small advertising square on the right side of the page is an experiment. Signing up for Google AdSense was free to us, and any revenue from ad clicks will be donated to Rabbit Haven. We will always ensure that the ads don't detract from the usability of the site. Please let us know if you see ads that do not fit with the mission of the site; for example, we would block ads for "hasenpfeffer recipies".
What software is being used to run the site?
We use Drupal, an open-source content management system. So far, so good!
